FOOD @ CAMP

All of our campers eat lunch at camp. The 3- and 4-year-olds eat in their classrooms, while the 5- and 6-year-olds generally eat in Riverside Park. Please send your child’s lunch in an insulated bag with an ice pack, as lunches are not refrigerated and cannot be warmed. We ask that all lunches brought from home are meat-free and nut-free.

All campers will receive a dairy/parve snack and beverage as part of their camp day. All food served and/or prepared at the JCC follows kosher dietary laws and is completely nut-free. We ask that any food brought in is consistent with this policy.

We have recently launched a new initiative focusing on healthy kids and healthy eating. We have worked to introduce a number of new foods into our campers' repertoires and have added more healthful options to our old favorites!

A snack specialist works at the Day Camp @ the JCC making fresh, healthy snacks for our campers including homemade granola bars, kale chips, pita chips and fresh hummus, banana bread and so much more.
